In the silence of the night

The sky had been dark for a while, scarcely scattered of stars, the new moon hid behind the clouds, the silence sang a melancholy of its own, the wind blew stifling, and I bewitched by darkness spent endless hours counting the sheep just to fall asleep. The less I sleep the more I am thinking devouring time, pondering on when she would visit me, she brings silence no one's ever heard of, the misery she brings is a souvenir of her presence, or is it miserable to lose? or should it be cherished? few questions can't be answered, they arise like the tides in the sea, made of the salty water that washes our hearts every time we visit the sea, and they remain unanswered like the ocean's cry to taste the land.

It is wonderful to be able to dream, lucky are those who can dream. But how long would you remember a dream? I can recollect every single thought and every occurrence I've witnessed while staying awake as the world is far asleep. In the world I've created by myself, every night I have conversations with her and plead with her to stay, to not leave tonight, she's enigmatic, not intimidating, she answers every question of mine with every passing night. she left her body in the sea and her soul to the sun, worries well she has none.

"Devouring Time, blunt thou the lion’s paws,

And make the earth devour her own sweet brood"
